XIIIThis is my first CD which I recorded in 1999. It contains my favourite songs from my first thirteen years on the cabaret stage as well as a song which Lize Beekman wrote specially for the CD. There is also a bonus track or two of my mom’s favourite which is a live recording from a 1992 performance at the Johannesburg Civic Theatre. The album was arranged and produced by Rocco de Villiers and he also played the piano on all the tracks. Jean Oosthuizen (Floors) on guitar, Vinnie Enrico on drums and Corné Dannhauser on bass. in my bloed / in my bloodThis album was recorded in 2002 and is my second CD release. Nine of the tracks are original songs that were written for me by songwriters such as Lize Beekman, Mynie Grové, Deon Opperman, Amanda Strydom, Joe Niemand, Richard van der Westhuizen and Anna Davel. agter glasGlass dates back to the stoneage. It was seen as a very valuable article which even competed with jewelery in price. Glass consists mainly of sand, soda and lime. The development of glass is far from complete in spite of its long history. The cabaret Agter Glas with Zietsman and Janine Neethling is like glass – seductive, clear and sharp. It is also available on DVD – a first for Elzabe. The main ingredients are grains of sand in the form of sosio-political comments made crystal clear through Elzabe’s unique and memorable voice and Janine’s masterful compositions and arrangements.
