What is happening in the Glass Cage?

The first day that I came to look at this house, I dreamt up The Glass Cage in my head. So, I bought the house and built The Glass Cage. Now we put on shows, eat, drink and play in The Glass Cage.

We cook every evening for the guests in the Guest House. You are more than welcome to join us provided that you let me know that you are coming before 15h00 and how many of your friends will be accompanying you.

Sundays I cook a massive lunch and just before desert is served Janine and I put on a show – sometimes some of my friends come to put on a show!

It is important to book for Sundays. Call me or André or send us an email to ensure you have a table.

August/September 2010

On Friday night 13 August Alex Hamilton, www.alexhamilton.co.za is opening an art exhibition in The Glass Cage and a percentage of his sales will go to The Club. Your personal invitation to this event is included below.

Roadtrip

On Sunday 15 August Zanta Hofmeyr, www.zantahofmeyr.co.za and Charl du Plessis www.charlduplessis.com will be doing a Beethoven Tango concert with all proceeds going to The Club.

One Act

And now for the good/bad news. The good part being that Rocco de Villiers and I are busy working on a new show and we will be on stage together again for the first time in 16 years.

We are opening on 8 September at the Monte Casino Studio Theatre, moving to Aardklop in Potch on 28 September and opening at Theatre on the Bay in Cape Town on 6 October.

The bad part is that Janine and I won’t be able to do our Sunday lunch shows for the best part of three months.

The last two Kos en Konserte will be on Sunday 22 August and 5 September.
